Apatx

Apatx is the country of mountain centaurs (they're the dominant race, this does not mean that only centaurs live here). It's renown for it's vast libraries and animal training and care.

Demographics

Apatx is mostly populated by centaurs, the stockier kind mostly.

Government

Apatx is a group of multiple tribes, with each tribe having it's own leader and customs. Every 70 moons, the leaders meet in Casrun, the capital and make the choice for who gets to represent the country. This elected leader deals with the affairs of the country and will do so until the next meeting, unless they are challenged by another tribe leader or abdicates on their own.

Defences

The tribes live in the rather dense forest, so they have magic that makes it so that their homes can be hidden, and they use stealth as a weapon against potential intruders. They live in tune with the forest and use it to their advantage.

Industry & Trade

Apatx's major source of income is it's hunting and gathering. They can find rare things left over from animals and hunt well. They're also great at wood working, leather working and book binding. Apatx also has a treaty with Ambersia for textiles and a treaty with Jituwa for crops, and they also take mined goods from Sletland to Ambersia.

History

Apatx is the land where Shining Minerva originally came from. Taking from her love of knowledge and creatures, Apatx built itself to feature universities and libraries, while placing importance on living with nature. Apatx and Jituwa used to be a single country, but separated for government reasons.

Tourism

People come to Apatx to see the way mountain centaurs live. They come here to see the famed Tree Libraries and the unique architecture. They also come to see the abundant wildlife and learn a thing or two about animals. Anyone coming to visit Apatx would probably stay in a tree guest house. And the crafts work done here is a thing to be marvelled!

Architecture

Most buildings in Apatx almost seem to be made in the trees. There's a very woody homey feel there, and the floor space and area is designed for centaurs. The trees that grow there are quite huge, so treehouses and wide ramps are common sight. The places are decorated with animal hides and woven cloths, as well as dried leaves and flowers.

Geography

Apatx has a huge abundance of forest and waterfalls. There are multiple rivers and a huge array of wildlife. Lush forests are a staple around here. It's also right next to Sletland so it has a bit of mountain as well.

Natural Resources

Apatx has a wealth of forest and magical creatures, many of the tribesman are expert hunters and animal rearers. They live of the land mostly, and collect things from the creatures that live there.
