Sletland

Sletland is the land of the dwarves built in the hollows of the mountains.

Demographics

Most, if not all, Sletlanders are dwarves, short stout cheerful fellows who tend to have wild or bushy hair.

Government

Every year, there's a grand Velge Seremoni, where the king of the dwarves leads a procession to the axe in the rock at the base of the Høy Foss called Den kule Oksen and attempts to pull it out of the rock. If it doesn't come out, it is time for the king to retire, and the citizens choose who should be given a chance. The one the Oksen comes out for, is decided king.

Defences

Sletland is set in a mountain which makes it hard to invade as it is, but the dwarves have also built and lined up ballistas and other weaponry along the border to keep it's inhabitants safe.

Industry & Trade

Sletland is a mining country, they trade minerals, gems, metals, iron ore and other such valuables in return for food and cloth. They are also skilled armor smiths and weapon makers so that's in high demand as well.

History

Sletland used to be the home of Shining Stouthjertet, and the country extremely values his skill as a warrior.

Architecture

Sletland is in a mountain, so most homes here are carved into the rock. The inside of the mountain has been hollowed out in each of the cities and they use gems and such to adorn them. The place also functions on levels, so that's there too.

Geography

Sletland is a mountain so it has high imposing cliffs and the peaks are dusted with snow. Inside, there are many little creeks and small waterfalls, including one tall one in it's capital. The view from the top really can't be beat!
