Ambersia

If a continent could have a capital, it would be Ambersia. Ambersia is a beautiful country known chiefly for it's full acceptance of races and creatures. It's a bustling colorful place built to ensure that anyone, and I mean ANYONE, can live there if they so choose. It's full of mixed smells, sounds, and sights, and so is a true delight to be in!

Demographics

Ambersia isn't called Equality Placified for no reason. It's a country that strives to accept anyone and everyone, so the demographics are fairly equal.

Government

Ambersia is ruled by The Amber Council. It's a council made up of one member from each race. Every seventeen years, there comes a huge festival in which all the citizens of Ambersia decide who the Ambers are going to be. Once the Ambers are decided, the council is formed. There follows a Trial Month, in which the council learns how to work with each other and how to improve the country. In the case of an Amber being decided unfit, either by themselves or by others, another vote is taken for a replacement. Another Trial Month takes place and the process is repeated until the country and council are satisfied. Any decisions made regarding the country are run through with all the council members working together.

Defences

Ambersia has multiple defences, starting with the patrolled wall and moat. Over the years, these became more a point of consultation with the countries surrounding it, but still fulfill their original intention. Having skilled fighters with arrays of various talents also play a role.

Industry & Trade

Ambersia thrives on trade. It's inhabitants are merchants, they sell things they make or find and buy from others too. The sheer variety of merchandise available, as well as the fact that it's filled with skilled artisans and schools for such makes it a very valuable country. However, since Ambersia has not a lot of space for growing crops, it has treaties with the countries right next to it (namely Drelu, Jituwa and Apatx) for crops and meat.

Canals are an incredible feature of Ambersia, built for ease of travel for merfolk.

Ambersia is a swarming marketplace, it contains multiple treasures ranging in diversity. Gems, cloth, currency, and merchandise in general is the wealth of the country.

History

Ambersia was the dream of Shining Mage Darla. She wished for a country which advocated equality and acceptance. Following the Last War, she held consul with the other Shining Seven and put into motion the plans for Ambersia. There were multiple trials concerning it's government system and the building of canals but with time, Ambersia formed into the mixed country it is today.

Tourism

The people who visit Ambersia probably come to see some of their relatives. But of course, they also come to see the famed marketplaces, the eccentric architecture, the classes given on street sides to any passerby wanting to learn. They would want to see the statues and the museums with awe inspiring art. There is at the very least one inn in each city of Ambersia, so the visitors have no lack of places to stay.

Architecture

Ambersia contains multiple canals and roads alongside them for ease of travel for both merfolk and land folk, upon land there is also a segregated part of the road for the smaller folk. A whimsical quirk of Ambersia's is the doors, every door has two parts to it with two knobs so that there is a smaller door inside the main one, some doors even having more than two. Shared housing and multi-floor houses are also quite common, as is having a mer-house underneath a land one. Roosts on roofs are also quite popular, as are outdoor staircases and colorful buildings. Houses tend to have unique touches to them, ranging from what kind of material they're made of to what decorations they have outside. Single houses are more rare, but still do exist in the towns toward the outskirts of Ambersia.

Geography

Ambersia is a mildly forested region with small hills. There are some waterfalls here that if visited in the early morning bring about feelings of peace and which if visited on the Night of Two Moons, can reinvigorate the person.
