The Furies
History
Origins
There is little known for certain of the Furies, instead, most of their origins can be found in legend. There were once four mortals who lived in Granados. Simple farmers who had little care of the world, until an army marched through. This army laid waste to the land, stealing the crops, and burning the fields. After the army had left the four mortals had nothing. In complete despair, they each called to the gods begging for help. Xuanwu the creation god of Earth answered first granting one the power to bring life to crops and plants. Vulcan answered second giving one the ability to bring light to their lands. However, once the gods of good had given their gifts the gods of evil schemed and plotted. Mayim and Dalilu Hewa spoke to the last two mortals separately. Mayim promised powers to exact revenge on their enemies and in exchange, all souls the four mortals killed would belong to Mayim. Dalilu Hewa promised great speed to catch their enemies and in exchange, all he asked was for their devotion and love. All four mortals took theses gifts with great speed. Over a week the two evil mortals convinced the others to aid them in exacting revenge on the army. And so the four Furies set out for the first time. Xuanwu's gift was used to bring a blite onto the land and starve the army. Vulcan's gift was used to shrowd and hide the Furies on their approach. Mayim's gift called lightning from the skies. Dalilu Hewa's gift made the Furies undead and unkillable. The four Furies slaughtered the army and all those who stood against them. After they were done they still felt the need for revenge. It is said that after they killed the army the four Furies were still unhappy and so they blamed the world for their sorrows. Ever since then anyone who wishes to summon the Furies from their infernal hiding place has to only perform a ritual and they will appear to strike a deal.
