Flying ships of the Senemi

In my research on the Senemi I've stumbled across a fascinating depiction in one of their ruins. Carved into stone it shows a group of Senemi floating above the ocean in what seems to be a ship, but it has no contact to the water. From the depictions and as they were living on Edi too my guess is that they used the Lapita to let the ship float.
It was already tried to create something similar, but until now the experiments failed. While we have the floating caravans pulled by the Ereneii we don't have any means to stabilize or control a ship or boat on the ocean. Yet as I can't imagine that the Senemi picturize some weird dreams or ideas I would conclude that it has to be absolutely possible to build said ships.
What is astonishing is, that they don't seem to have needed absurd amounts of Lapita to let the boat float, it seems they have attached huge wing like structures to support the fast moving ships in their floating and maybe even steered it with them. Still we deem ourselves unable to either clear enough Lapita for this task or find stiff enough materials to build the wings. Maybe we don't use it efficiently enough.
Concerning the situation of the refugees we've taken it could become a interesting topic for the whole society. Now we know we're not alone in this world. We know we can reach people over the oceans and I'm burning, be it my last journey, to learn about a completely different society. Which they seem to have.
In this undertaking a floating ship would be a perfect vehicle, the ships of the Senemi must've travelled with great speeds as it is pictured in a moment of flying high above the sea raised by a big wave.
Thus I started with further research on the Lapita! From my insights I know that the Council debates about contacting the society of the refugees with an expidition.
The finding of the depictions is relatively new. Yet I couldn't help but to spread it in the research community of Lucem Edi as, in my humble opinion, this would be a breakthrough for our society. Just as I expected a lot of my colleagues were launched by it, the ones that tried to build something like the floating caravans in particular.
