Kōlye

Kōlye is the Lord of Night and one of the children of Nasēhyu. His realm is night, the yawning pit, the dark abyss between stars which overtakes the sky at the end of every day. In Yuiwian texts he is the antagonist and opposite of Sō, the Lord of Day and Father of Life.

Though generally considered a deity of Yuiwia, he has no followers, temples nor worshippers. Instead he is the opposite of Sō and his main antagonist against whom the Lord of Day must fight to bring every day into being.

Kōlye's allies are the hēlyeho, their gleaming eyes mocking parodies of the stars who hunt nighttime travelers. For any average Yuiwian follower their howls are a sure sign to stay inside, were it day or night.
