Luvous (loo-voo-us)
Basic Summary
People that believe in this religion are normally Nostralovish Lovians. Every Nostralovish follows the basic rules of this religion, but some of the rules are debatable. The Chiefs and their families follow this religion to the book and don't break any rules if they do they often are shamed for it and if they do as children they are punished. The luvous religion has been around for thousands of years, and is the main base for the nostravolish culture. 1. "Eating land animals is forbidden, you may only take the lives of sea creatures,"
2. "Sex is for marriage, no one shall attempt reproduction before marriage,"
3. "You shall always defend your family, and your people even in the darkest of times,"
4. "I will always protect you, you are sacred people who have our blessing,"
5. "Never murder without reason, only murder for your safety, the safety of someone else, or for sacrifice to us,"
6. "Don't take more than you need, mother earth will bless you if you remain selfless,"
7. "Do not steal from your friends and families. Steal only from your enemies,"
8. "Praise, and give gifts to us, so we have the power to give back to you,"
9. "We see everything, and declare our wants in our physical form,"
10. "What you give will come back to you," These fundamental rules have been debated on their true means, but for the main part, they are followed. One rule that isn't one of the ten fundamentals but is followed by many is covering your hair before you get married. Most unmarried citizens wear hijabs, shaylas, hats/helmets, niqabs (if they have facial hair), and sometimes even cut their hair instead of wearing a veil. The chief and his family always follow this rule, the same as most political figures.
Deities of Luvous
In the luvous religion, it is believed there are a few deities that are all equal to each other. The original deity is named, "Ceva" she was the first living being to exist. She is the mother of the universe, and she created all the planets and living beings. She created the other deities named Koda, Reku, Liho, and Hari. Koda is the eldest child of Ceva. Koda is the deity of humanity, he rules humanoids and knows the outcome of everything humanoids do. It is believed that the chief has direct contact with Koda, and is Koda's Physical appearance. Reku is the second eldest, and the deity of Nature. Often referred to as mother nature by other cultures, she is nature, she is animals and plants. The death of every animal, and every plant hurts her a little bit. she is very powerful and will punish humanoids. Liho is the third eldest and is the deity of Love. She controls who people's soulmates are and is in control of birth. She is a deity that is taken very seriously and is the pride and joy of the Nostralovish people. Hari is the youngest and is the deity of water. He controls the natural water and sea creatures. He says he blessed humanoids with sea creatures so they can eat more than just plants. All these deities are praised and loved. They each have their own temples around the native reservation.
