The Eltdown Shards
in English, written by Reverend Arthur Brooke Winters-Hall, 1912
A translation of the cryptic markings found on mysterious clay fragments unearthed from pre-Carboniferous strata in southern England. Winters-Hall asserts the strange dot markings on the shards are indeed a language, and links the markings to the so-called Pnakotic Fragments. Winters-Hall's translation tells the tale of a hideous race of worm-like beings, the Yekubians, who tried to invade the Earth over "ether bridges" in an ancient era when our planet was dominated by a race of benevolent cone-shaped beings. The translation describes the culture of how they eventually defeated the Yekubians. Laban Shrewbury acquired a copy shortly after its publication in 1912, and donated it to the Orne Library in 1913.
