The Dunwich Sermon
in English, by the Rev, Abijah Hoadley, 1747
This transcript of Hoadley's original sermon berates the inhabitants of the township of Dunwich, lamenting the village's long history of heresy and witchcraft. The Reverend also declares that the frequent rumblings in the ground near the town are the work of the devil. Hoadley vanished soon after delivering the sermon. The transcript, part of a great collection of local liturgical works, was donated to Miskatonic University by Revered Ward Phillips in 1815. (Johnson, Sam, and Sandy Antunes.
