Arkham Historical Society

The Historical Society is a privately supported group devoted to preserving, protected, and promoting an appreciation of Arkham's past.

Mr. E. Lapham Peabody has been the Society's curator for over 30 years. He is expert in local genealogy. He also has a working knowledge of most of the church and town records, library holdings, historical societies, and graveyards found in the Miskatonic Valley region.
A member of the Arkham Historical Society is entitled to access of Society buildings, records, and libraries. Belonging to the Society is often considered a good thing in Arkham, though most men will think twice about donating a week's wages or more to it. Members can rub elbows with most of the important Arkhamites at the annual Society meeting, usually held in April. (Herber, Keith, et al. “H.P Lovecraft's Arkham.” Chaosium , Jan. 2003)
