If you ever get the chance to visit Lirca, just do it. It's an incredibly beautiful city. The ancient architecture is just breathtaking. And when you are there, you just have to climb up the spire and see the city from above. Just be aware of the tourists scams. It's free, you don't have to pay anybody to get up there.
The Crystal Spire is the heart of
Lirca - pre-dating the very foundation of the city itself. The origins of the Spire are filled with mystery and legends, and its construction is often attributed to the ancient elven artisans who once lived in this area. The original purpose of the building is unknown today.
The Spire's architecture is extraordinary. The Crystal structure looks like it has been molded into its spiraling form, like an ice sculpture. Its foundation seems to meld seamlessly into the surrounding landscape, as if the Spire itself is an extension of the surrounding land. It rises high above the city, dominating its skyline and offering a panoramic view of Lirca and the Golden Coast.
The outer surface is adorned with crystalline patterns that shimmer and glimmer even in the deepest and darkest nights. During dawn and dusk, it catches the fading lights and creates an ethereal kaleidoscope of beauty.
Purpose
Today, the Crystal Spire is mostly used as a tourist attraction. The huge Glass Market around it makes it the center of the city. But, even after centuries of research, the intended purpose of this building remains a mystery. It's infused with powerful magic and seems to channel the very essence of the land's magic. Even today, there are chambers within the Spire that have never been opened, as nobody has figured out how to enter them yet.
There are countless theories on its intended purpose. Some believe it was the seat of power of an ancient country. Others believe it holds the knowledge and wisdom of the elves, or it even protects the area itself with its magic. It might also have been placed here to contain an ancient evil that once plagued these lands. But so far, all of these are just theories, the truth hidden somewhere in between all of them.
Mysteriiiiiiiiies. I am curious about its original purpose, but mostly I want to see it glinting in the moonlight. XD
Yes, Mysteriiiiiiies. Lots of them! Thanks for the comment!
