Oblex

A species of ooze that gains sentience by absorbing the memories of the creatures it touches. Oblex can live thousands of years with the right nutrients, and eventually grow intelligent enough to create near-perfect imitations of those whose memories it has consumed.
Luckily, Oblex are not common in the world.
