Lornlusk

A new world, cloaked in darkness and mystery, shrouded in folklore and mysticism, and whispered of in fearful utterings, but also promising of glory, riches, and eternal fame for those brave enough to venture into its heart. This is Velhamia, a land of dense forests, towering mountains, and fetid swamps, inhabited by monsters and vicious creatures lurking behind every corner. It has been 200 years since the first settlers from the Old World arrived on this virgin soil, and through no small amount of toil and strife, they have managed to form large cities near the coast, and many smaller villages further inland. Every day they face mundane struggles such as ensuring a steady supply of food and water and ensuring they are able to last through the cold, brutal winters of the continent. They are threatened from the outside by whispers of terrifying monsters lurking in the wilderness, of black magics woven by witches banished beyond the village walls, of natives fighting to keep their land free and pristine, as well as facing threats from the inside stemming from paranoia, mistrust, and mass hysteria. However, this is no deterrent for the brave and foolhardy, arriving on these alien shores to write their names in the annals of history.
