Idol of Crehu Mohes

Worn smooth by millennia of handling, the multicolored figurine barely stands upright on its stout legs. The central red head stands tall facing forward with only minor wear, but the four in white, green, blue and black flanking it are beaten and fragmented. To the green ogre ceramicist who sculpted it, or the blue ogre weaver who fortified it with magical resilience many thousands of years ago this Idol of Crehu Mohes represented the threads of creation, complexities of magic, and breadth of knowledge in the universe. Its image was meant to represent a reflection of the many combined parts of ogre society.   The dense ceramic idol, made of a magically imbued material more resilient than all but the hardest of gemstones or infused alloys, stands almost six inches tall with the heads of five dragons on serpentine necks facing in a forward arc. Below the colorful array of red, white, green, blue and back is a compact crimson body held upright on paws glittering with gold and silver talons, and balanced with a folded tail ridged with once sharp copper and bronze frill from its tip back up to the nape of the central neck. Sized for one of the large high ones it could have been easily held in the palm of its owners hand.   To the humani collector and his ancestors the Idol of Crehu Mohes represents tyranny and oppression of the high ones and their servants over his people. A symbol forged in ogre culture before the creation of the humani, they are not directly represented in its image as the other major castes have been. More over, this specimen is marked as preceding the ages of humani, having marks on its belly indicating it was crafted under regent Galanta Rialtor Siori Lugaide Rechtabra (magnificent ruler eternal Lugaide Rechtabra) and could have been a gift celebrating or commemorating the red's rise to power in one of the central regions of Lorgaire.
