Phantom Briar

This is one of those plants that the reward way outweighs the risk. The tea is delightful.

Dangerous but Rewarding

This particular plant is quite dangerous to the people and fauna of this world, as the thorns can cause third degree burns if you happen to be poked by one. It is rather unfortunate for those who get tangled in its vines. The vines and the thorns themselves are transparent and almost undetectable to the naked eye, if it were not for the blooms that occur on the vines. Getting out to a well-known location for one of these plants was interesting. They only grow in the darkest, deepest parts of the forests of this world. Which, in turn, makes this plant even harder to see due to lack of sunlight to reflect on the vines and thorns. The blooms that grow on the Phantom Briar are beautiful and are highly sought after for the simple fact that it makes a very lovely tea. The blooms are picked by hand and turned into one of the most expensive teas that this world has to offer. I brought some back with me and paid a considerable amount for it. The instructions are quite simple for this tea, anyway. Steep for 5 minutes and strain the leaves as best you can. The tea tastes floral with a hint of citrus and cinnamon.
Honestly, it is really good and its one of our favourite teas. Even Niall likes it.
Phantom Briar
Shown here, the vines and thorns are almost invisible, but the flower is quite a lovely shade of magenta.
Getting a painting to show its transparency was difficult.

Scary invisible burning thorns on one side... tasty tea on the other... I would definitely risk it.
