Lurid Waxy Cap
This mushroom actually tastes quite unique in comaparison to others. Almost fruity. It's odd.
The Lurid Waxy Cap is a mushroom that is completely edible. The mushroom itself is not recommended to be eaten in high volumes and it is always a good idea to eat in dishes and not by itself. A popular way to eat these mushrooms is in a stirfry with vegetables and meat. There is the distinct possibility that you could develop digestion issues. When the mushroom is cut, it turns a bright red as it oxidizes. The mushroom is a bright purple convex cap with a bright yellow hymenium with gills on the underside. The cap itself has a waxy almost jelly-like substance covering it.
It definitely doesn't *look* like a mushroom you should risk eating. :D I like that you can, though.
