The Marrionette Rites
Within Atlas, there is a tradition to make a marrionette of lost loved ones, so that a part of them may watch and advise you after their death.
This started after, long ago, a marrionet was crafted by a lonely man, missing his lost wife. the Marrionette, crafted in her image, began to sing songs only she knew. Eventually, the Marrionette grew a mind and soul of it's own, helping out the town and bringing comfort to the townsfolk. When pressed the puppet always said, "The one I'm based on is gone. But I do feel her, telling me bits and pieces as she feels." SInce then, even if results aren't the same, the people often make dolls of their own for their loved ones.
