The Elemental Dragons

A specialized breed of dragons created by the Avatars and based on the twin divine dragons themselves.

There are 6 prime elemental dragons, reincarnating into new forms upon death. These dragons act as conduits to their respective elemental realms, their abilities unconsciously stabilizing the elemental balance in the real world, much like the divine dragons stabilize reality. As a consequence, these dragons are extremely powerful and skilled in the use of their respective element. As long as they live, disruptions to the elemental balance are mitigated, and can begin restabilizing any imbalance as soon as they are reborn if necessary.

The dragons also have an inherent knowledge of their elemental orb's location, and can tell if anyone is using it. This allows them to be able to act as a final defense should someone take it for themselves.
