Chaosweavers

While seemingly noone knows what exactly happened to them, there was once an offical order of Chaosweavers, the third form of Weaver Magic. Founded by Pandora, they acted as wandering mercenaries while reaserching the limits of Weaving magic, often using the foes they faced as test subjects.

Chaosweavers may be presently defined as 'Weavers who use their magic for combat' but the original order was more specific. Namely, they tested how far their magic could be pushed, even at the expense of the stability of their own souls, and even at the expense of others.

Many factions disliked them, even as they hired them. While their combat prowess was significant, their methods were horrifying, and caused much collateral. Those who survived such encounters, and sometimes even those who hired them, would find themselves traumatized by what they saw. Even those who left the order would still use magics that twist at the very soul in ways that, at the very least, pulled themselves to the brink of death itself.

Often times they would take over a town and use it as a base of operations, in order to hold off agressors and collect material. This has led to the rumor they actually made a city of their own, but given noone has found any evidence for this, it's likely they all died out in some unknown location.
