Notes on the Supranatural Qualities of Greymantle

  • Collection of Notes and Reports -
  • Excerpts from travel journals and maps, notes passed between members of the Rangers Aeskethi, accounts from various firsthand sources and oral traditions.
While any of the outlandish claims about what can be found and experienced in the vast wilds of Greymantle Marsh would be best discounted as pure myth, the sheer number of them, and the fact that some have seemingly been proven in recent years, says that something uncommon is in fact happening in a grand scale in those mysterious bogs and gullies. The following is a a personal attempt to organize some of these happenings in a board sense. Greymantle is as difficult to classify and document as it is notoriously difficult to map, but perhaps it is a single important step that others may further launch their own investigation from, much like slogging step-by-step through the swamp itself.

  • ranger note: stepped into a mudpuddle and ended up on the other side of the swamp. could not go back through and had to walk the long way back. spent the night in Silverymoon.
  • ranger notes: reporting on likely "dumping grounds" where a portal to the feywild etc. seems to be leaking, where fey creatures/influence seems to be localized etc.
  • ruins (eg. Black Pillar Bog and other features that do not seemingly fit with the history or location around it.
  • localized constant storm.
  • area(s?) where weather is weird.
  • ghost bog.
  • floating boulders.
