Greymantle Hydra

Hydras are a magical species that is not considered entirely of the natural world, and as such, they can cause a lot of chaos in the evironments they live in. All hydras are known for their ravenous hunger and at least semiaquatic habits, but Greymantle hydras represent these traits even more.   The Greymantle hydra has a flatter body plan that other hydras, pointier snouts, and its tough hide has smoother scales that absorb and retain water. They range in color from pale olive to a charred, almost black brown, with blotches of darker color over their entire bodies.   As they are not an entirely natural species, they are considered invasive, and out-compete (and often eat) the crocodiles native to the area.   Hungry Hungry Hydra game has become quite famous in the city during the Monster Parade   https://www.dndbeyond.com/monsters/16929-hydra
