Edmond Daverly

Something terrible that no one else knows about you."During their first meeting, the enigmatic Edmond Daverly gifted Tekhetsio Thriyan with the gift of a pink opal, professing to him that it matched the lovely color of his eyes. Ever since, Edmond's journey to discover himself and his place in the world has run parallel to, if not outright collided with, the larger story of the party.
Appearance & Mannerisms
Edmond can adopt a new "persona" at will, whether for practicallity or for personal expression. While he could easily change into any gender, ethnicity, or humanoid species he has seen before, there are a few personas that he adapts regularily enough to be given names. The only thing consistant across his personas is that they all seem to smell faintly of peppermint candy.Personas
Edmond (he/him)
- Summer's Isle Look: Preferred pronouns are "he/him". A human man with sharp, effeminate features and very pale skin. Dark, straight hair goes past his shoulders. His eyes are pitch-black and his face is unusually symmetrical, giving him a strange, doll-like veneer. He speaks poetically and abstractly, and seems to have a very even temperment.
- Tek's Look: Pointier ears and softer-looking hair. His eyes are a pale blueish-grey with flecks of gold. His lips are tinted blue as if he's very cold, giving him the unfortunate likeness of a corpse. He usually keeps his nails painted gold and smiles at Tek a lot.

- Tiefling Look: He basically just kind of looks like Edmond, but with tiefling horns and different eyes. This is a special look made mostly for Tek's specific enjoyment.
Edie (she/her)
Preferred pronouns are "she/her". She is a brown-skinned tiefling girl with waifish proportions and small, out-turned horns. She has warm orange eyes and freckles a shade lighter than the rest of her skin. Her hair is still dark, but much wavier than Edmond's. She speaks with many of Edmond's mannerisms, but has a more childlike countenance.Ethan (he/him)
The guise of a half-orc young adult man, Ethan has cropped-short dark hair and small tusks. While tall, he has a relatively small, wirey frame compared to many with orcish liniage. He has a couple of small scars on his face, but is otherwise unremarkable to look at. Edmond slips into this persona whenever he actually needs to get chores done around town, because Ethan is easy to overlook and feels much more grounded than his other personas.Ether (they/them)

The creature that exists when no persona is present. A humanoid with features that vaguely resemble Edmond's, its entire form is matte white, resembling an unpainted statue. It has no concept of its own gender and tends to develop or shift to another persona once it becomes aware of itself.Outfits
Typically, Edmond is instantly recognizable in a venetian mask and purple suit, reminiscent of a jester's costume. The outfit is accented with intricate embroidery and gold filligree in the shape of butterflies. For the most part, he keeps his head and hands completely covered. He's worn a couple of other costumes for the Monster Parade and has a variety of masks, including a raven's face, a wolf skull, and a comically large pumpkin head.Personality & Motivations
Edmond is an empathetic and introspective individual with a flair for the dramatic and a deep love for art, life, and romance. Though he tends to keep a calm and composed exterior, he struggles to express his emotions, particularly when it comes to himself. He's always eager to meet others' expectations, often forgetting to consider his own needs in the process. His past difficulties caring for Ita weigh on him, but he’s determined to make amends by being a better friend and protector now. He opens up easily and is incredibly curious about the personal lives of those around him, often wanting to know their secrets. Despite his flirtatious nature, Edmond is someone who deeply values the connections he makes with others and seeks to show that love in any way he can.Abilities & Equipment
He usually carries a mandolin on his back. Tek has seen that he has several magical accessories, including a Ring of Invisibility and some kind of corded amulet he wears wrapped around his wrist. He has mentioned that he wears armor, but it is glamoured to look like a rather unextrordinary shirt. He has the unique ability to change his appearance to look and sound like anyone he could imagine, with very few limitations. While some magic users can change their appearance through illusion or polymorphing, Edmond's ability actually changes his physicality and does not seem to involve any spells or charms. Similarly, Edmond seems to be able to create simple objects out of nothing that have physical substance and weight, making this ability different from typical illusury magics.Notable Faces
