. It is an alliance of six star systems, lying close to the
. These planets are some of the furthest settled by humans, and some of its most isolated. While it has some trading links to the
, it is mostly left to itself.
Argodis is only semi self-sufficient, with each planet requiring something from the others. This has created a somewhat stable trading system between them, but with little room for expansion or unification. There is no system of government binding these systems together, only a basic political and economic alliance.
Alderamin
Alderamin is one of the furthest human colonies known to the wider Human community. It is home to one occupied world, Argos, the defacto capital of Argodis.
Argos
Argos is a crystalline world, home to some significantly impressive geodes. The surface of Argos is rocky, wet, and rainy. However, this planet lacks any real oceans, with much of the water flowing through caves and subterranean networks, creating damp, humid, and hot conditions perfect for the growth of extremely large and captivating crystals. Many say that
Argodite Crystals are some of the most beautiful in the galaxy. The largest settlement, and de-facto capital of Argos is Sylvite, located near the equator and settled around a natural entrance to the Argosian underworld.
Hiksek
Hiksek is a K-type star in Argodis with seven planets. However, only one of these, Ashkantu, has been settled. Most of these worlds are uncharted, undocumented, and unexplored, and Ashkantu is no different.
Ashkantu
Ashkantu is a dustbowl world, a planet with a massive, unending sandstorm that blows across the planet every week. Despite this, the planet is reasonably habitable, and was colonised by humans relatively recently. However, they are not alone on Ashkantu, and a population of Unathi have found themselves stranded here, the descendants of a crashed vessel that does not appear in any human records. The remnants of this ship, the
Hssaanta, has become the planetary 'capital', a scrapyard shanty city, built in the decaying, hundred year old skeleton of the ship that brought them here.
Anuva
Anuva is a minor star system deep in Argodis, with only two occupied worlds, Anubis and its large moon, Osiris. It lies deep in the Roanoke Zone, with little connection to worlds beyond this zone.
Anubis & Osiris
Anubis is a small continental world, with a strong tidal pull from its large moon, Osiris. As a result, the planet is often wracked by large tsunamis and storms, with large geysers all across its surface. By contrast, Osiris is a relatively large moon, big enough to cause serious tidal effects on Anubis. The moon has been stretched and torn by this relationship, its surface cracked and its interior beginning to leak onto the surface, creating oceans of lava. Despite being relatively inhospitable, several small colonies have been settled on Osiris, who have reported mysterious radio signals coming from within its cracked surface.
Mifana
Mifana is a star system located in Argodis. Mifana is a cool, M-Type star, with five tidally locked worlds. The sixth planet, Saani, remains unbound, and has been colonised by various settlers from Sol.
Saani
Saani is a frozen world, locked in a permanent winter. However, this does not make it inhospitable, and despite being snow-covered all year round, it is relatively habitable and comfortable. However, something is odd about this winter. The planet is close enough to Mifana, with a thick enough atmosphere that means it should be a tropical world. As the Saani colonists have explored their new world, they have found strange things frozen in the permafrost. Saani is home to no animal life, only plants in the form of hardy grasses and trees. Yet the colonists swear they hear noises in the distance, obscured by the fog, and definitely unnatural.
Talkhent
Talkhent is a G-type star system in Argodis. It has one occupied world, Tarajo, which lies close enough to Talkhent to be rendered a harsh desert world. It was one of the first systems in Argodis to be colonised, and is home to a large enough population.
Tarajo
Tarajo is a vast desert, with little to no water on its surface. Most human settlements are found in the polar regions, where temperatures are considered acceptable. The planet's tropics and equator are effectively impassable, covered in vast, shifting sand dunes that change position daily. Some water can be found deep under the ground, but it is polluted by something within. This was discovered by its first settlers, who became the first victims of the Sand Sickness. These days, most Tajaro settlements have invested in water purification systems, steadily raising the quality of life for the people living here.
Onshakh
Onshakh is an M-Type star located deep in Argodis. It has one occupied world, Aspar. It lies close to the border of the Oxokulumab Federation, and has close ties to both it, and the former Manoran Empire.
Aspar
Aspar is small tidally locked world, and home to the descendents of various Manoran exiles, who fled here during the reign of the Empire. While many of these exiles were political dissidents, opponents of the monarchy, and generally opposed to the imperial system, some who fled here did so fleeing the consequences of their actions. In the early years of the Manoran Empire, many people did unspeakable things to secure themselves a place of power, and those that failed to do so ended up here on Aspar. They had skeletons in their closets, and brought them here. Many describe the planet as having a dark aura, haunted by the ghosts of their past. Cursed by the actions of a few, who took advantage of the kindness of exiles.
