Plasma Warhead

Common form of manmade plasma weaponry, created to fit inside a missile warhead. It's barely anything more than a ball of heavily condensed superheated plasma surrounded by a missile hull. The moment it is detonated, the plasma is dispersed, melting everything around it in an instant.   The exact amount of damage a plasma warhead can cause is based almost uniquely on how far the plasma core can be condensed - the more of plasma, the 'denser' the dispersion that also spreads further before dissipating. However even outdated plasma warhead is capable of causing a lot of devastation. While the spread is relatively small (few dozen meters at best... what is that to an effect of nuclear warhead detonation?) plasma excels in piercing armour.   There is literally nothing that can even slow down plasma heated to several millions of degree Celsius. It is often used for a finishing salvoes against capital ships wounded by other weaponry, that can no longer repel concentrated salvoes but are still quite operational in terms of main artillery - one or two salvoes are bound to finish the ship off.
