Party History With The BSI
The BSI has always seemed to be in the background spying on and even trying to recruit members of the party at several points. But the first time the party properly saw them in action would have been during the Mystery "Heart Break Blues" when they burst into (insert name of place later) and started rounding up civilians to erase their memory. The second time the party met the BSI was during the mystery "The House on 236 Rosewood Drive" where they were tied up and interrogated by Director Scott. In that conversation the party learned that the BSI was trying to prevent/prepare for some big event on the horizon. The party also got a large info dump on the origins of the BSI during this conversation.
Public Agenda
The public agenda of the BSI is to seek a greater scientific understanding though Investigating the Natural World. However their true purpose is to investigate the Supernatural world.
Assets
The BSI seems to have near endless access to resources always having money for another mysterious van or new branch in another backwater town. Conspiracy theory's about them also state them having access to high tech military's equipment though the explanations for this vary wildly.
History
The bureau of scientific investigation Was formed in 1938 with the stated goal of "Investigating the Natural World" however the true purpose of the BSI was to investigate the alien craft from the War of the Worlds Incident. The Organization stayed mostly anonymous investigating alien and cryptid sightings. However that changed in the 1960s when they were given a tip about about an apocalyptic event witch they could potentially prevent. That is when the organization began building labs and offices in all sorts of seemingly random back water towns like Lockwood West Virginia.
