When attuned with Vigil you:

• May activate/deactivate it's glowing property at will.
• Receive a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls with this weapon.
• Cannot be surprised. You have advantage on Initiative rolls. If asleep, the blade will wake you and/or any nearby allies when a threat approaches. This only works during non-magical sleep.

Vigil was made for a forgotten hero who betrayed the evil conqueror Khal Ankur. Loyalist tomb robbers stole the blade from his resting place soon after his death. The blade's magic faded with ages of being passed from one unworthy hand to another. Vigil was recently rediscovered. Its new bearer might awaken something of the blade's former might.
