Moradin
(a.k.a. "The Father", "The Dwarf" "Forgemaster")
Known in dwarven tongues as the “All-Father” or “Mountain-Man”, Moradin is revered as the first king of dwarves who became a god after death. While other races and religious cults may disagree with dwarden on this fact, he is still seen as a powerful influence in the histories of early war and claims a rightful place among the pantheon of accepted gods. His temples reflect this newer nature, often including statues of him rather than just symbols. His temples are expertly crafted buildings, reflecting the nature of his worship.
Moradin’s followers are often craftsman, miners, smiths, and guild members. His dominion is that of the forge, or craft. While other gods are responsible for the natural order, Moradin instructs his followers to build their own path with their hands. The dwarves of old saw him in every act of physical labor, his spirit imbuing constructs and objects built by followers and increasing their strength. His holiday in Morningstar is marked by a week of excessive partying in the dwarf lands, and by minor celebration in other cultures.
His symbol is an anvil aflame, and can be seen on smithies and artisan guilds.
