Midgardian Bed

In its most basic form, the midgardian bed is built with a wooden frame consisting of four corner legs raising the bed off the floor, with a headboard, footboard, and side rails. Evenly spaced wide wooden slats run between the side rails, parallel to headboard and footboard to support the bedding and occupants. More expensive bed frames may involve elaborately carved side rails, footboards, headboards, front legs, and headboard legs.
The bedding most commonly consists of a layer of straw, over which is laid soft, warm furs or woolen blankets. Pillows are also often included. Wealthier individuals are more likely to use more expensive pelts and materials for their bedding.
A bed can be constructed to as a single or a double.
