Antiropp

Antiropp is the ancient patron god of warriors, blacksmiths and generals. Antiropp looks favourably on those who wage war and those who fight them. The act of war feeds 'his' ego, strengthening his connection to the material plane. There exists cults devoted to him and during lengthy periods of peace, they allegedly try to instigate war to please him. While he has shown something resembling love for those most devout to his teachings, Antiropp can be cruel and incredibly spiteful against mortals, though he is mostly kept in line by his siblings, Numaxian in particular.

Physical Description

Antiropp's favoured form is that of a bronze-skinned man, standing nine feet tall. In this form he is bald and his body is athletically built and his eyes are an unusual shade of amber, like staring into a fire. Scars cover his body, particularly the torso. Like the rest of the Divines, he is capable of manipulating his form into many variants; sometimes he will become an eight armed colossal man towering over at hundreds of feet, a different weapon in each hand. He chooses forms that inspire awe but also to strike fear into mortals.

Zulmatter's Scabbard

Named after Antiropp's famed sword, it is a series of texts glorifying war as a force for positive change and justifications for the treatment of the conquered. The texts are widely controversial outside of Antiropp's cult.

    Personal history

Antiropp is the eldest child of Zarabaxia and Parathronds. His prowess in war and combat were instrumental in two cataclysmic events in Gondwara's early history. The first of these events was a civil war between Aliätha's children and the ancient Aradnë, during which he personally slew the twisted Vythram, who had murdered Aliätha.   The fighting had barely ended when a great rift was torn in space as a result of the trauma and violence. Strange and warped dark beings spewed forth from what would later be called 'the Wound' and immediately attacked everyone without provocation. They devoured stars and worlds and carried out wholesale slaughter on an incredible scale, until only the world of Gondwara was left. It was here where the creatures were finally stopped, with the help of the mortal races. The creatures, or 'Pus' as they became known, were then chased back to where they came from, beyond the Wound. The war had lasted eleven thousand years and the gods were now exhausted and so they entered a deep slumber.   Antiropp was one of the few gods outspoken against giving mortals magic, partly because he believed they were a threat and that 'lesser beings' didn't deserve that kind of power. At best, he views Faefolk, the Divine name for mortal kind, as impetuous children who need stern leadership from the gods. At worst, they're a bigger threat than the forces of Darkness from the Wound. His views have placed him at odds with the rest of the Obligate on more than one occasion.
