Nation - Advig
WORK IN PROGRESS!
Home to Forest Dwelling Races.
National Language: Common and Druidic
Official Religion: None
All faiths are permitted as long as their practices do not upset the natural harmony of the nation. Faith is not punished, only actions that harm the wellbeing of others.
Capitol: Forium
Meeting place for all the cities' delegates. The Capitol Building extends up through all three levels of the city.
Inspiriation:
There is no current procedure for visitation to this nation.
No city is permitted to have more than 1500 residents. If it exceeds this, the city is split in half and a second government body created. Many cities are crammed right next to each other due to this. The only exception is the Capitol, which is permitted 1500 per level of the city; totally 4500.
Structure
The nation is ruled by the people. Each city sends a delegate to the Capitol and they hold the votes of each citizen from their city. While this decision allows for each voice to be heard, it takes months to years to pass something nationwide. Luckily intercity decisions are made quickly.
Culture
Kinship and neighborliness are important values.
Assets
Lumber. For every tree cut down, five are planted in its stead.
History
Advig started as a wild land where only animals wandered, but as time went on, people started to flock to the area. The continent used to be whole, but the Giants walled off their territory once settlers began to construct cities.
Military
There is no formal military. Citizens become gaurds in their communities to gain benefits from the government, such as to gain more access to community resources.
Religion
All religious expressions are permitted in Advig.
The only restriction is that practices/actions of their faith cannot endanger the natural wellbeing of the land or its people. If their religious activities become an issue for the wider group, they are often banished from their community and they will be forced to leave.
Foreign Relations
Advig has connections to most, if not all, the nations on Hexadiv. Their lumber is requested worldwide.
Laws
Starting fires, purposefully or accidently, are harshly punished.
Trade & Transport
Transport varies by level of the city. The trees are via bridges and ziplines. The ground is via walking and riding on trails. Underground is via rail carts.
Education
Education is in the hands of the government. Each city is to instate a public education system. It teaches all subject, expect religious ones. That is to be taught in the home.
Currency
There is no official currency. As minerals are desireable, they do accept copper, silver, gold, and platinum, but it is more common for people to trade good or services.
