This is the name of this world. In the ancient tongue it means "Place of Gracious Testing", and comes from the most ancient of elven legends which suggests that the entire world was created as a place of testing, trial, and struggle where the high races would be tested and those few who could prove themselves worthy would pass on to the celestial realms.
