• Natural 1 means something bad is going to happen. I ultimately have the final decision, but players may suggest what happens to either PCs or enemies. Furthermore, natural 20s also give “something more” than just another hit dice. Making the target bleed or cuting off limbs are just two of an infinite number of things we can come up with for nat 20s rolls.
