The Obsession

The Obsession is a rare side effect of when hoarding becomes madness, and leads one down to a life of paranoia, anger, and the need to control everything. This phenomenon has been noted to happen in primarily Dragon shifters. Though all dragon kin are susceptible. It typically begins in stages of unexplained anger, then unexplained paranoia, before eventually the afflicted has convinced themselves they are surrounded by enemies and all of them must pay.
There is no known cure, but there are methods of management.
1. Do not allow the afflicted to isolate
2. Do not agree with the afflicted's theories. (works best before the madness can begin to set, during the paranoia phase is the last phase to prevent the worst of the condition from manifesting.)

In most cases, once the afflicted is understood as having the Obsession, consistent intervention has proven the afflicted can lead healthy lives. There will always remain a risk of the Obsession progressing.
