The Warforged are a created race, whose origins lie in the Kingdom of Korbal and who are rarely seen outside its borders.
They are a genderless race and most will accept whichever gender assignment the speaker chooses to use. A number express a preference for one description or another, but few will accept being referred to as if a construct. Due to their combative design, most Warforged have what most races would describe as a masculine physique and so are most often gendered as such.
They generally appear stoic and resigned, but are fully capable of experiencing the full range of emotions available to the other races. They are less prone to anxiety or other mental illnesses due to their inherent acceptance of their purpose. Very few Warforged spend much time pondering their place in the universe wihtout a major incident prompting the question. They are 'born' fully aware and consious of their surroundings and with a mastery of the common tongue and a clear understanding that they were brought into the world specifically to serve the kingdom of Korbal and its armed forces.
It is partly this understanding which leads to the structure of their internal relationships with each other.
While most of the sapient races of Teraima will only rarely produce individuals capable of greatness, every Warforged who emerges from the Castes is touched by fate in some way. Not all will ahcieve the incredible things of which they are all capable of course, but any group of Soldaten lead or even accompanied by one of the Warforged feels the power of its presence and will be pulled along in the wake of their destiny to achieve more than a normal troop.

It has been theorised by a number of arcane scholars that this interaction might even increase the likelihood that those Soldaten might have an increased chance of displaying the touch of destiny themselves, however few of these theorists have the inclination and access to perform any sufficiently thorough studies to prove their ideas one way or the other.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The physical structure of a warforged varies slightly based on the specific elemetns of their Forging, however they all conform to a standard Anthropic sturcture, two arms, two legs around a core, with a head suported above the shoulders.
Where other races are flesh and bone the Warforged have bones of Steel or Adamantine, muscles of living Ironwood and a skin of attached armour plates of Granite.
Other materials could, in theory, be used in the process of creation but no such Warforged have ever been created.

Social Structure
Every Warforged will defer to any of their Caste-brethren from earlier Forgings unless they have a strong enough reason not to. This is especially true of the First Forging of each Caste, known to the other Caste-brethren as their Mach. The title bestowed incorporated the honorific and the name of the Caste. The First Forging of the 13th Caste, for example would be referred to as Mach'Vazh by other Warforged.
Interactions between Castes is a little more complicated as most older Castes are still just as active as newer ones. A Warfogred will definitely defer to a previous Caste who is older than them, with little short of reverence displayed to Forgings who are older than the eldest of their own Caste. Those of an older Caste who are none-the-less younger are shown respect, but the nuances of the relationship will vary based on how many years are between them.
None of this should be taken to suggest that older Warforged show disrespect to each other without cause. There is certainly an expectation of obedience from younger members of the race, but all Warforged are bound by a shared purpose.

Facial characteristics
As their facial plates are carved by a master craftsman, they are all unique in subtle ways but tend not to vary hugely between warforged of the same Caste, though a careful observer, or another warforged can easily determine one from another.
Geographic Origin and Distribution
Almost exclusively found in Korbal
Average Intelligence
Fully sapient and adept at problem solving.
Most do not display tremendous creativity, preferring to start with the simplest available solution and increase the complexity of their approach steadily. There are outliers however and this varies between the Castes

Naming Traditions
The Warforged are all named based on which of the Castes they were Forged in. The Forging process itself is an arcane ritual that not even those who perform it fully understand. It is the unknown factors of this process which creates the unique personalities of each Warforged and gives them the second part of their name.
The structure of the name is as follows
Caste'Personal, The Xth Forging of the Yth Caste
For example, the Warforged of the 17th Caste whose personal name is Masu would be called Thor'Masu, the 24th Forging of the 17th Caste.
While no Warforged would object to anyone, even another Warforged limiting their usage to their Caste'Personal name, without the explanation and might even allow for a group of comrades to refer to them by Caste name alone, using a Warforged's Personal name in isolation wihtout the closest of friendships is one of the few things which would offend a Warforged.
