The Eusociality of Alban
The Eusociality of Alban, as that is it's official title from the outside world, is a spit of land in the middle of the more North Eastern part of the world.
While mostly a rocky island, with some areas of grass, the Island is generally considered inhospitable to everything but Sheep and the native creature, the Wild Haggis.
That is, of course, with the exception of the hominid residents, Clan Frazer. They've lived there, en masse, for as long as there have been written records. Many islands and countries in the nearby vicinity have always had tales of strange men, covered in blue paint, wearing strange wollen kilts and armed only with Claymores, jogging across the sea and taking everything that isn't nailed down.
There is only one static settlement on this land, and that is called Caisteal. A Large fortress where the mysterious Kelda gives orders to her fellow clan members, and where the Clan members sleep when they're not busy doing whatever it is they do.

The citizens of this island work on a social system. They take only what they need, and make sure to provide for every single member of the clan - especially the Kelda - and thus have no real need for currency. If they don't have it, they go and steal it from another island/country.
