Livina, The Forgiven Sinner
Livina is the youngest of the Sovereign Host, the last child of Freimut and Gudrun and, by some definitions, the mother of all the Tyrant Cabal, her greatest shame.
Her epithet, the Forgiven Sinner comes from the same myth as the birth of the Cabal.
It is, however also seen as a reminder of one of the greatest powers of love, which she embodies in almost all its forms.
She is young, and many of her legends tell of her falling in love with other gods, either from the pantheons of other peoples, such as the elves or dwarves, or simply other nations. These tales each describe love in its myriad different ways. For example;
She once fell in love with Corellon Larethian, first of the Seldarine, smitten with their ephemeral beauty, however she was too young and fixed of form to earn his notice, so her love went unrequited.
She fell in love with Selune, acknowledged in Korbal under the title of the twilight maid. This is a tale of the passions and uncertainties of young love, and has a predictably tragic ending.
Her greatest legend telling of the birth of the Cabal focuses on both the melancholy and strength of familial love, showing how it stretches and can be difficult, but ultimately is stronger than any failing. The great tragedy of this tale lies in the understanding that, even throughout the centuries of conflict with their darker selves, all members of the Sovereign understand that they were born of a pain that could only come from the strength of Livina's love for her family. That is her unasked for, but undeniable love for those who are both her enemies and her children that allows them, to persist, but it is also their greatest hope for their shadow selves.
