The Kemuri, like the other ninja clans, is denoted by their element, smoke.
History
The Kemuri clan all but wiped out their rival clan, the Kage. The only surviving member was Mikuru, who they adopted into their clan.
Divine Origins
The Kemuri believe that they are descended by a grand ninja, Kōgai Kemuri, who's prescence was said to be that of smoke.
