The Kage, like the other ninja clans, is denoted by their element, Shadow.

Disbandment

The Kage clan was all but wiped out by their rival clan, the Kemuri. The only surviving member was Mikuru.

Divine Origins

The Kage believed that they were descended by a grand ninja, Hanzo Kage, who was so stealthy he was said to be made of shadow.
