General Physical Condition
Small, even for a vampire. Madeline looks almost like she could float away. She's around average height for a woman, though very tall for one from the late 1700s. She often wears dresses, her hair combed back. Many would almost mistake her as some kind of servant or other worker. She disappears quietly in the background, a snake, waiting to strike. She wears simple glasses, it's probably more of a fashion statement or perhaps vampires experience the same eyestrain as humans. They look cute on her, regardless.

Madeline has spent her life as a very unconventional woman. In her day, women were not meant for positions of power. A woman's job was to marry, keep a home, and so on. That never really held her back. She was an early part of the women's rights movement, managing to be an office assistant in the 1810s. It wasn't popular in the day, but the town rumor was that she was sweet on her employer. She worked for Magnus Smithson. He owned a small shipping company in that day. Madeline worked in his office, doing busywork, shuffling papers, cleaning, and doing the cooking whenever a potential client came through their door.
From the outside, she seemed to be nothing more than an ordinary woman applying her skills in a business setting. It gave the business a homey feeling. The men never realized what power she had there. No one noticed her, thought much of her. If she moved someone's papers, it was thought as nothing more than innocent cleaning. She learned so much from their potential clients, details that made Magnus a far better negotiator. Even still, she worked with forms and fillings. She handled the important things Magnus didn't have time for. Changing details, organizing papers, and so on, left her with far more power over the business than he realized.
Still, society grated on her. She wanted more. And one day, a man promised her more. Angelo offered her a chance to be more. She took him up on the deal. In the vampire family, she found that women were women, and men were men. The attitudes weren't very different, but the scope of what they had was very different. She did the same work around the family as she had done around Magnus. They all regarded her as young, foolish, and harmless. She dug her fingers into everything. It wasn't an official positin of power, but soon enough, everything the family did passed through her fingers. She was a little bureaocrat, handling paperwork, fillings, and amassing knowledge on the vampires' businesses, their actions. Knowledge was power, and their knowledge hadn't been well guarded on the inside.
Over the decades, centuries now, Madeline became essential as this quiet little paper pusher. She avoided vampire politics on the outside. She moved papers around, managed funds, and more. In a sense, she has more power than anyone else in the family, and not a one of them realizes it. No one would dare cross her, because she knows their secrets. She could sink any vampire there. Even Angelo and Christopher are not safe. The funds and details of their enterprises, all rest with her. Without her, they're a broke and destitute family. There's no better position to be in, just so long as she's slow, careful about what exactly she does. And she is.
Education
Madeline never had the chance to attend any schooling. Her education is purely selftaught. She's lived through the rise and fall of industries and empires. At her age, honestly she could teach in any institution about business. She knows things that researchers won't think of for another century. In a sense, she lived what they teach before they taught it, so what can they teach her now?
Employment
Officially, Madeline is employed by the Philadelphia Management Corporation, one of the central business units of the The Vampire Family's financial empire. From this position, she's able to manipulate and control thousands of investments, whether that's control over little businesses that owe them money or more illegal operations spread across the area.
