Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Jed is southern raised and his build shows it. Broad shoulders and a firm musculature throughout, complete with damn near permanent farmer's tan. Jed keeps himself clean shaven, better to not detract from his brilliant smile under his bright blue eyes, and keeps his dirty blonde locks cut short and usually under a ballcap. He dresses plainly, usually just a t-shirt or a button-up, jeans, and boots. His hands are marred with scars from hooks, knives, bites, and other assorted hazards of life on the swamp.

Special abilities

Gatziller: Similar to a wereworlf, Jed actually has an animalistic form. His just happens to be most similar a giant humanoid alligator... with extras. He expands rapidly when taking form, shredding whatever clothing he may be wearing, as his muscles rip right through his own skin. What skin remains quickly changes as well into thick plates of scale and crocodilian-like scutes. A long, thick crocodilian tail sprouts from his tailbone as his face lengthens into a short and broad muzzle. His legs thicken considerably to take the increased weight while his arms and hands bulk up and grow claws and thick scaled hide. His back sprouts thick spines in lines on either side of his spine, largest at his shoulders and growing smaller as they near the end of his ten foot long tail. All told, he grows to a staggering ten feet in height and is just about fifteen feet long from nose to tail of semi-aquatic hunter. His neck bulges slightly with well-hidden gills and his lungs adjust to process water just as easily as he breathes the air.
If it sounds like he looks like Godzilla, you aren't the only one who's noticed. Much to his own amusement, he has a striking resemblance to the King of Monsters's newest incarnation, and he's embraced it for his work as a hero.

Monstrous Strength: In his human form, Jed is considerably stronger than most human men. He can deadlift a couple hundred pounds with no real strain, useful on the bayou. But as a monster, that strength is greatly increased, enabling him to stop speeding cars and hurl them with impunity. His upper limit is several thousand pounds, easily.

Monstrous Durability: Between his thick hide and the steel bands that are his muscles, Jed is damned near impervious to things such as small arms fire and all but the heaviest of impacts. That said, his natural armor is not immune to being chipped away and with enough time and fire, especially if concentrated in one place, it will be broken through. In addition, while his gills are well hidden when closed on land, they still exist as a possible chink in his armored hide. Piercing weapons and anti-armor fire will, of course, punch through but even then he's not going to hurt nearly as much as those soft, fleshy things he keeps interacting with.

Both his strength and his durability come at a price, however. At least on land, Jed's bestial form is... not fast. At a dead run, he's really no faster than your average man and he definitely doesn't have a tight turning circle so anything truly dedicated to getting away is going to.

Rebel Yell: Jed's vocal cords are exceedingly well developed. He can shout with volumes that cause sudden and sharp pain in nearby listeners. In his monstrous form, this trait gets turned up to eleven. His roars can shatter glass for several blocks and burst the eardrums of anyone standing nearby and be heard for miles if he wishes. Obviously he modulates this a bit to keep from causing too much damage, but it's a useful to trick to have in one's back pocket.

Reptilian Regeneration: Jed is capable of regenerating lost limbs and exceptionally grievous injuries... but not quickly. And he's no more immune to their effects than anyone else, so he has to survive them first. But should he require it, he's capable of regenerating organs and limbs over the course of a week or two, depending on how bad the damage is. This does require an exceptional amount of energy and caloric intake so he's basically incapable of doing anything but eating and sleeping during this period.
