Bloatback
Large, slow-moving, bovine-like creatures with enormous water-filled humps on their backs, commonly herded by Duzuru in tribal regions. Their water stores make them valuable in arid regions.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Short, stout legs. Soft fur. Large, round backs that will grow larger or smaller depending on the amount of water the creature has stored. Flat snouts and round eyes.
Conservation Status
Few Bloatbacks exist in the wild. They are largely bred and herded for their meat, milk and water stores. A traveling party with a single Bloatback is ensured weeks of food and water in an emergency.
