Vhara Emblems
Vhara Emblems are brooches or pendants worn by Lexiconians to signify and represent their Vhara.
Description
Vhara Emblems were shaped like a diamond (jewel) with the family crest in the center. The emblems are usually crafted as brooches worn and pinned on their clothes or as a pendant of a pendant necklace and are shaped from Lexiconian steel or narsil in Lehkcia.History
Emblems were developed to prominently and visually distinguish one's Vhara from another, identify a person, and as a symbol to represent a Vhara. Each Vhara is represented by a emblem, and it is traditionally worn worn by the Vhara Head and its members. The emblems were also used to denote and represent membership in a specific group outside of their vhara, the most famous one being the emblems for Losenxagabe and Losenxagabet'on, and others.
Significance
Emblems are passed down from generation to generation to ensure the survival and legacy of the Vhara. Lexiconians regard them as important heirlooms and very important markers of identity and they are worn daily as well as special occasions, and are still passed down from one generation to another. When a new member comes, like say a new baby or someone is adopted within its folds, the Vhara will give an emblem to them pass down an emblem or if they don't have any extra, they forge more. The exact same principle is followed for other groups such as companies and government organizations, although they are thought to be less strict with it.
Vharaco always have extra emblems on hand just in case.
A banished or exiled Lexiconian will have the emblem forcibly ripped out or yanked out, which usually leaves a giant rip in their clothes if they are wearing it as a brooch or a slight bruise to the neck area if they are wearing it as a pendant in a necklace.
