Roalasism

Roalasism is the unifying monolatrious solar religion of Lexicon and Lexiconians. Adherents of the religion worship the god Roalas, which is based on and who is the personification of Lexicon's sun Roalas, which is a red dwarf. Despite being one of the most intelligent, merit-based, and knowledgeable species in the galaxy, Lexiconians are deeply spiritual and religious.   They worship Roalas, the personification of their sun and their god, as the giver of life and light. They also see their charging abilities as a gift from Roalas and the power of Roalas flowing through them, which is given through the mother.   Their religion influences secular culture and society heavily, is a huge part of them and is partially why Lexiconians are matriarchal and matrilineal. The real and true cause of their matriarchal and matrilineal society though is their natural gender rate; the natural sex rate is 107 females per 100 males, thus females outnumber males no matter what and are the more dominant gender in society.   Roalasism says that although men and women are equal and same in many aspects, the woman gives and channels life and energy, which passes down Roalas, who gives it and is the source of life and energy to them, and the rest of their planet. Basically, the power of Roalas flows through women onto her children, especially daughters.

Divine Origins

Their religion started and began most likely due to the extremely odd orbital dynamics Lexicon has which made Lexiconians store solar energy and thus charge because there are long, long periods where Roalas simply isn’t in the sky. Lexicon is permanently locked in a 3:2 spin orbit resonance with Roal. That is, Lexicon has three days for every 2 of its years. A solar day on Lexicon lasts about fifty-four Earth days, or two Lexiconian years. As a result, Roalas does not move across the sky at a consistent rate. It stops moving for long periods of time and gets stuck in a fixed position. It then would start moving again, signaling that night is coming. These days and nights, which are extremely long, led to them worshipping their sun as their god. And for them, Roalas is still this wondrous undying god in their sky, who’s like will outlast all the other stars.

Priesthood

The Priests of Roalas guide the faithful. The priests lead prayers at weddings, funerals and other religious services. Preists of Roalas were free to have intimate relationships, including marriage and having children. Despite how both men and women are preists, they are always led by a High Preistess.
