Biology and Appearance

Lexiconians look and resemble humans and are indistinguishable from them except for their shorter height, paler skin, dense muscles and skin, extremely heavy weight, resiliance to low temperatures, fast reflexes, durability, bigger eyes and permanently dialated pupils, solar abilities and impressive strength.

Basic Information

Anatomy

Lexiconian skin tones were somewhat the same variation of that as humans, athough much paler, ranging from alabaster to almond. They had cool skin undertones, and the darkest skin tone was a pale almond brown.   Black, shades of brown, and blonde were the most common hair colors, with white and grey common in old age. Hair texture ranged from straight to curly (1A hair type to 3A hair type ). Red and ginger hair is extremely rare among Lexiconians and is highly prized for it is viewed as a sign of Roalas' s divine influence.   Common eye colors for Lexiconians were hazel, amber, light brown, grey, and blue. Green and very dark colored eyes were non existent. Some Lexiconians had heterochromia, but that was rare.   They were shorter and stockier than other species due to the high gravity - 1.8 g - of their homeworld, and they ranged in height from 1.47 m - 1.73 m. The average height for a female is 1.52 m, whereas for men, the average height is 1.65 m. The high gravity also gave them dense muscles which made them extremely heavy and lands them impressive strength.   Despite their shortness, stockiness, and bulk, they have fast reflexes, and are very nimble and agile since things fall much more faster (1.8 times faster than Earth) on Lexicon and a fall from low altitude would be deadly. Thus, they developed that incredible nimbleness and quickness to avoid danger.   Lexiconian blood was iron based.   Lexiconians had two sexes: male and female, with the latter being distinguished by their pronounced breasts, overall smaller stature and lesser quantity of body hair.   Due to them evolving on a planet orbiting a red dwarf, they're naturally more resistant to radiation, have more dense, durable, highly resistant, thick, and strong skin and physiology. Their thick, dense skin and physiology also helped them stave of the cold of the frigid tundras their homeworld.   Internally, the Lexiconian anatomy was different from that of other humanoids, near-humans, and humans. Their lungs were more stronger to move the air, and their larger hearts were more stronger to pump blood against the higher gravity, which beated several hundred times per minute. They had very strong bones, and even their veins and nerves had muscles, so overall they had a very strong, hardy, and resilient body. They had a higher blood pressure than other species, and the normal blood pressure for a Lexiconian was the same as a human having a heart attack. Their respiratory system was stronger to extract the oxygen they needed from the thick and dense atmosphere, and their metabolism was stronger (not faster) than others. Lexiconians also had a naturally slightly lower body temperature than other species and had cold hands. Their immune systems were more stronger due to the harsh environment. Plus, Lexiconian cells had the highly unusual ability to absorb and store solar solar energy and radiation, which was the reason why Lexiconians gain super powers under a young star.

Hybrids

Despite their vast differences, Lexiconians are similar enough to interbreed easily with a large number of species like humans, Twi'lek, Trill, Ktarian and Zabrak.   The physical appearance of a Lexiconian hybrid was a mixed bag. On one hand, they could physically resemble the Lexiconian parent, but on the other hand they could resemble the non-Lexiconian parent or they could be a in-between. Internally though, the Lexiconian side was highly dominant and continued down for several generations.   Lexiconian hybrids are detectable due to how bulkier and stocky they were and slightly shorter than other species, and how they possessed many of the Lexiconian's natural abilities like resistance to cold temperatures, nimble and fast reflexes, and durability. The most detectable way to identify them though is that they all charge, although they're weaker and less powerful. They also have vastly extended lifespans, courtesy of the Lexiconian parent.   Plus, unlike how all Lexiconians are vunerable to lexonite no matter what, Lexiconian hybrids can tolerate it better, although they'll get sick if they're near it for too long.

Genetics and Reproduction

The gestation period of a Lexiconian was extremely short in comparison to other humanoid and near-human species, as well as humans. Lexiconian females carried the child for only 108 days - 3.5 standard months - which is 2 Lexiconian years. Thus, they vascularized very quickly, forming a complex and intricate network of blood vessels between the mother and the fetus. As a result, any attempt to remove the fetus prematurely, especially during the later stages of pregnancy, would cause massive blood loss to the mother and severe distress to the baby.   The Lexiconian gender ratio is slightly more skewed towards female than males than other humanoids, near-humans, and humans. For 107 females, there are 100 males. In other words, the natural sex rate is 1.07 (females): 1 (males). This was the true and main cause of their matriarchal and matrilineal society and culture despite the high emphasis on merit.   This extremely short gestation period was due to the.   Procreation from sexual intercourse typically results in a single offspring, with twins and triplets being incredibly rare occurrences.   Morning sickness for a Lexiconian consists of nausea and uncontrollable fits of coughing. They typically disappeared by the fifth week. Mood swings were also present during pregnancy.

Growth Rate & Stages

Lexiconians age extremely slowly and have vast life spans due to the unusual orbit of their homeworld. One year on Earth is equivalent to 13. 5 years on Lexicon, since Lexicon is about 0.07397260273 times the length of a year on Earth. However they grow up and mature faster and quicker than other species.

Dietary Needs and Habits

The Lexiconian digestive tract was highly adaptable. Although alien foods could occasionally disagree with a Lexiconian, given time, their body would adapt to the alien food.   They were omnivores, meaning that they ate both plants and animals.

Biological Cycle

Lexiconians roughly have the same circadium rhythm of humans, but they have a high level of stamina and can stay up longer than we humans could ever can. They get triggered to sleep by other factors and means that are yet unexplained and many scientists have given up on it. Despite that, their circadium rhythm is highly adaptable. They are used and adapted to the extremely long days and nights of their homeworld.   However, this made them rather terrible with telling and perceiving time, as well as making them having a rather poor sense of time. As a result, Lexiconians will simply go to bed at whatever time they start to feel tired, which has led to the joke that a Lexiconian, charged or not, can fall asleep anywhere and anytime, even if their ship was crashing.   The best comparison you can get on Earth to the Lexiconians natural circadium rhythm is the Sami, Inuit, Nenets, Chuchki, and Alaska natives, as well as Swedes, Norwegians, and Finns who have to deal with the midnight sun in the Far North.

Additional Information

Average Intelligence

Lexiconians are highly and exceptionally intelligent and are considered to be amongst the most intelligent beings in the galaxy. They were also considered to be very quick studies.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities

The sensory capabilities of the Lexiconians are vastly stronger, and superhuman people say, than other denizens of the galaxy, possessing 5 basic senses, with sight and sound being their strongest. Their sensitive hearing forces them to react strongly to loud noises, but also allows them to pick up on things that others cannot hear. With skill and concentration, they can block out ambient sounds to focus on a specific source or frequency.   Their eyes are more adapted and used to the low light and dimness of their homeworld, giving them superior eyesight, exceptional night vision (they can see fully in the pitch dark), and also they don't need much light to see. Lexiconian eyes and pupils are bigger - their pupils are in fact naturally and permanently dilated - than other humanoids, near-humans and humans to see better on their dim home world and compensate for it.   However this made them rather sensitive to bright sudden flashes of light despite their superior eyesight and perfect night vision. As a result, many Lexiconians will get briefly blinded from the light before their charging soon kicks in if they're going to or on a planet which is not orbiting a red star.   Because of their dense, thick, and strong skin and physiology, their pain tolerance is much higher than other humanoids, near-human species, and and regular humans, though they can and do feel pain and it is hard to draw blood and pierce them. There is one drawback to that: surgery on or giving an injection to Lexiconians is near impossible unless you had tools made out of narsil, making it hard for doctors to adminster medication sometimes.   Lexiconians do not have telepathic abilities and have no defense against them except their willpower.   Lexiconians also have a high tolerance to cold and greater resilience to low temperatures than other species, due to Lexicon being a frigid and cold tundra interspersed with low mountain ranges. As a result, they had a naturally slightly lower body temperature than other species. They only needed light wardrobe even under extreme and freezing cold weather conditions unlike other humanoids, near-humans, and humans who needed to wear protective gear in those sort of conditions. Many people often remark on Lexiconian hands as being cold in temperature, no matter what location they are from a desert to a rainforest to a ice waste. If they're not charged, Lexiconians preferred a colder, dryer, and dimmer/darker environment than humans, near-humans and other humanoids.   Additionally, all Lexiconians, when exposed to yellow, orange, white, and blue stars will (their cells) absorb and metabolize its solar radiation, granting them superpowers. They simply call it charging.
