Lexonite (Vuhl-TH)

Lexonite, or vuldh in Lehkcia, is a red, crystalline mineral originating from Lexicon that emits a unique, poisonous radiation that weakens Lexiconians, charged or not charged.   Lexonite, to say it clearly, is like how uranium is to us humans. The longer they are exposed to it, the weaker they will get, to the point of death. This also makes the mineral deadly enough to pierce through Lexiconian skin if a piece of it was carved or carved into a bullet, sharp blade, spear, or even used as the retractable blade of a Khatra.   It takes a few weeks for them to fully recover and get their solar abilities back after they've been exposed to Lexonite- but only if the lexonite was removed quickly from their presence and the dosage was low.

Properties

Material Characteristics

Lexonite took the form of a red, crystalline mineral. It had a glassy luster, and it's streak was a light red. It had an hexagonal crystal structure, and had no cleavage. On Earth, it would have a 7 on the Mohs scale.

History & Usage

Discovery

Lexonite was first discovered in their mines, and they quickly found out how deadly this mineral was to them. Lexonite is immediatly destroyed when a vein of it is found, which is uncommon. Lexonite is a uncommon mineral, and thus finding a vein of it doesn't happen often.

Hazards

Lexonite radiation interferes with a Lexiconian's ability to absorb and metabolize solar radiation, or charge in other words, which explains why Lexiconians lose their solar-empowering abilities, and are severely weakened by it even when outside in direct exposure to the light of younger stars (orange, yellow, blue, white). It also contaminates the solar energy already stored within a fully charged Lexiconian's body as prolonged exposure to and/or direct contact with lexonite will cause a sickly red discoloration of the skin and veins will begin glowing red as the radiation continues to seep in and poison the body. It also will and can strip away their natural impressive strength and abilities, which are there without their solar abilities. The weakening affect depends on how much poisonous radiation the Lexiconian is exposed to. Small amounts will make a Lexiconian sick, dizzy, fatigued, vomit, and feeling weaker than usual. Heavy doses will cause a severe and immediate reaction causing extreme pain, seizures, fainting, and extreme physical debilitation all throughout.

Distribution

Law & Regulation

As a result, unlike Lexiconian Steel steel or narsil in Lehkcia, lexonite's existance is tightly guarded as it is one of the very few things that can incipacitate them and truly kill them, even they were charged or in the state of Charging and the fact it is so potent, strong, and deadly, in which only a small amount of crystals can and will literally kill if it is merely in front of a Lexiconian. Most of the material that had been mined by them was fully destroyed, except for a highly protected, hidden vault that is known only to a select few, as a last-chance/fail-safe thing or as a necessary evil if something like that comes. They couldn't risk it, even for knowledge and experimentation. Most denizens of the galaxy aren't even aware of the existance of lexonite as a result.
