Session VII: Who Rolls A 48 On A D10? Report
General Summary
The Custodes begin their search for the Glade of Chains. After several days of searching and some conspicuously divine help on the part of Theo they manage to find the Glade with time to spare. Aeneas and Saorise have a fight about whether it is better to kill any cultists they find (Saorise) or capture them for questioning (Aeneas), and eventually decide to split off and work independently of each other.
Team Aeneas and Theo find a group of cultists traveling to the Glade and attempt to capture them. The cultists escape only to have a lethal run-in with Saorise, much to Aeneas' chagrin. After several more days of fruitless searching, the solstice approaches.
That night, the Custodes are surprised to hear chanting coming from inside the Glade. They see a ritual beginning, with what appears to be a human sacrifice about to be enacted. Theo, Pertinax, and two of the legionaries immediately run in to the glade to attempt to stop the ritual, but Saorise, having seen through the illusion, is able to stop three of them. The second legionary runs in to what is now obviously a trap. The not-a-bear from the Custodes' dream, waiting in the circle, immediately kills the enthralled legionary, just in time for those still on the edge of the Glade to hear shouts as they themselves are taken by an ambush.
