Session I: Have You Seen A Ghost
General Summary
Having arrived in Lugdunum, the Custodes are almost immediately sent off to Augustodunum by Marcus Nepos , an old augur. He reports strange omens and divination not behaving as it should. In Augustodunum, the Custodes learn that there has been an increase in bandit activity in the region, with enough of a supernatural lean that the local garrison is being extra superstitious.
The Custodes decided to investigate this as well and, pretending to be merchants, decided to set out with a group of real merchants. This plan was almost immediately derailed when the Custodes were spooked by a bolt of lightning showing the disfavor of Taranis , the Gallic god of thunder. After dealing with spooked horses, an overly chatty innkeeper, rude soldiers, and indifferent mourners, they decided to speak with the mayor of Sidolocus and see if there were any clues as to what the bandits were up to in the area.
