Sky Terrace
Riches come to ruin in a place where currency matters less than prestige. Luxuary and oppulance and needless atyle over function in the style of human ballrooms taken from photos taken long ago that fell through the cracks. The sheer effort taken to mimic the Baroque style without resorting to carving or glass blowing is a mastery of plant growth rarely seen today, and to replace any broken or damaged parts of the Sky Terrace has been valued at a debt that could sign the entire city over to VRPI.
The terrace itself has 4 massive chandelliers, desceding from a painted dome like ceiling, depicting the ancient gods of Levis, surrounded by depictions of the great scholars, academics and thinkers of Levis in the shapes of angels.
A massive balcony is lined with thin transparent tubes in mimicry of candles, woth bioluminescant plants grown through the core. The balcony attatches to the terrace through a wall of membranes so thin as to be transparent on deliberately heavy frames. Two massive display panels swing on flexible joins, while functional membranes hide on the sides for serving staff.
The terrace itself has a serving staff of 15, and a chef staff of the same. when the Terrace is not in use the staff are used elsewhere in the tower, but they are secondered onto the terrace first and foremost.
History
Constructed by the current owners of VRPI for political clout and permission to experiment with several concepts seen as taboo, the sky terace was a 10 year construction project.
VRPI brought in the best growers, the best technomages and even forest trolls as heavy lifters, especially when trying to design the 5 tier waterfall that makes up the centerpiece of the north wall.
Merely a generation later, VRPI was forced to sell its hold over the terrace in exchange for the permits that would help rebuild the Crystal Spires.
The spires have hosted many luxuious events, including the celebration of the return of the explorer Thalia Moondance.
Oo, I love the idea of bioluminescent plants mimicking candles. <3 Sounds like a beautiful place.
