Halebrook Forest
Many things end by themselves, even if interferance in the natural order has ended more things than most would like to believe.
Once, in the beginning of things, the area was the Hale Mangroves, running through which was the Hale Brook along with other tributaries which kept the lands lush and wet. As more and more droughts took the major rivers from the region, the land became peaty, with mulga, luxwood and weeping eucalyptus growing into the previously mangrove-ridden area.
In such an area with dark sand, thick mosses and a firm mix of purple-black trees and pale trees with drooping yellow and white flowers, the wildlife has evolved into a range of dark fur and feathered creatures, many of which have a dappled arrangement.
Geography
The Halebrook forest is the rockiest forest within Levis. Its deep granite ridges lead into a catacomb of natural granite caves - once underground rivers, the lowered water table has left them empty apart from a humid moisture that covers every surface and leads to a steaming mist on warm summer mornings.
One of the major geographic portions of the forest is the bend, a ridge of almost exclusively luxwood that sits upon one of the deeper peat settlements that would have traced the deepest parts of the Halebrook.
Adjacent to the Halebrook is Attum-Mess, the city of bards, the plains regions of central Solaris, and the cliffy faces of the mainland into the Oceanus region.
