Green eye Dudich
This purple furred marsupial (with white spots) is a common inhabitant of the Forbidden Forest. A tree based marsupial, this Dudich tends to nest in the crooks of Sakura trees, often decorating their nests with scented barks and leaf mulch.
Growing up to 8cm in length, these creatures are fast insectavores, specialising in the rolling beetle that tends to live at the base of trees and in the mulchy undergrowth. With small sharp claws and a narrow pointy little mouth, these creatures are purple menaces to all things insect. That the paths and roads have brought the beetle's preferred habitat closer to danger, means that Dudich's can often be seen frozen on the paths and roads that weave Levis now.
Ecologists are hard at work trying to protect this species from the effects of foliad expansion on the inland, though many suggest that things that might benifit the Dudich will counter affect the E-pedes that have begun to habitat the forest now.
The Dudich's main predator are the hawks that live around the skylines of the Forest, and the quolls that live on the ground level of the forest. Thus the Dudich is safest when it is in the canopy of a Sakura and engaging in the camoflage that such a tree provides. Because of the lifecycle of the Sakura trees, during the winter months, the Dudich engages in rolling in muddy puddles, trying its best to build up a layer of brown soil over its fur to blend in when the purple blossoms are gone.
Aw, cute. :D
